The information on this site should be read with the applicable code, current technical documents, and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements.

Equipment comes first

Elevator type, machine and brake configuration, rated load, rated speed, controller, guide rail, and work scope affect the technical review. A general product statement does not establish the right application for a specific elevator.

Protection functions are named precisely

Unintended Car Movement and Ascending Car Overspeed Protection are separate functions. This site does not treat them as interchangeable or present a traction-elevator requirement as a hydraulic-elevator obligation.

Documentation must match the configuration

Product data, installation instructions, engineering reports, and available approval materials must be reviewed for the proposed device configuration and project conditions. Prior documentation does not establish acceptance for every arrangement or jurisdiction.

Local acceptance controls the project

Code adoption, amendments, permitting, inspection, testing, and acceptance are set locally. The project team must confirm the governing requirement and acceptance path with the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
